Fast forward to 7min:34sec - DOUBLE BARREL MOD
3DPrintSOS shows you the benefit's of the Polydryer and the modification he made to double up the units on the drying base.
Testing with the Polydryer has been given to give that extra little gain in dropping the humidity, absorbs more moisture than the stock desiccant indicating silica.
Testing in Christchurch:
Normal orange silica beads: 14% humidify at lowest
3A Zeolite Molecular Sieve 3A: 10% humidity at its lowest
NOTE: Once humidity is reached, they sieves need to be re heated in an oven at 70-100deg for several hours to dry out and re use. They don't give you any indication on the colour and don't change with moisture.
120g Bags = 4 refills for each Polydryer container
These are the same medium that is used in the Drywise unit as its primary water absorbsion method.
Specification:
Brand new
Material: Natural zeolite
Size: 3.0-5.0mm/0.1'' x -0.2''
Wear rate: ≤0.35
Bulk density: ≥0.70 g/ml
compressive strength: ≥130 N
Static water adsorption: ≥20 %
Ethylene adsorption: ≤3.0%
Molecular formula: 0.4K2O 0.6Na2O Al2O3 2.OSiO2 4.5H2O
Molecular Sieves Type: 3A
3A (pore size 3 Å): Adsorbs NH3, H2O, (not C2H6)
Feature:
A molecular sieve is a material containing tiny pores of a precise and uniform size that is used as an adsorbent for gases.
The material traps the water and does not dissolve.
Used for absorbing water, for instance removing the water from alcohol or other solvents which cannot be removed by distillation.
Common applications include the dehydration of compressed air, natural gas, hydrogen, oxygen, solvents, refrigerants and argon purification.
PolyDryer™ is your ultimate 3D filament drying & storage solution which protect against dust and moisture. Printing with wet 3D filament can lead to various issues, such as stringing, clogging and rough or poor surface quality, especially noticeable during high-speed printing.
PolyDryer™ was designed and co-developed by our partner, FabNotion. It features modular design, superior sealing and optimized drying system, ensures quick and even drying with its Dry Dock, whilst offering the dual function with its PolyDryer™ Box as a 3D filament dry box.
PolyDryer™ Mods and Add-ons:
