The Form Studio Wash+Cure washes and post-cures your SLA parts in one compact desktop unit. Drop in the wash bucket to clean parts with an agitated solvent bath, or swap it for the turntable to post-cure under 405 nm light. The machine switches modes automatically, and it’s sized to match the Form Studio 1 build volume.
Overview
When an SLA print finishes, the parts are still coated in liquid resin. They need a thorough wash, then a post-cure to reach their full mechanical properties. The Form Studio Wash+Cure handles both steps in one footprint, so you don’t need two separate machines on the bench.
In wash mode, a magnetically coupled impeller circulates solvent through a 10 L bucket for a consistent clean. In cure mode, a rotating turntable and 24 multi-directional 405 nm LEDs expose parts evenly from every angle. The machine detects whether the wash bucket or the turntable is fitted and switches modes on its own. You run everything with a single knob and a mode button.
Key features
- Two machines in one. Wash and post-cure in a single desktop unit, with automatic mode switching when you fit or remove the wash bucket.
- Agitated solvent wash. A magnetically coupled impeller in a 10 L bucket gives a thorough, repeatable clean.
- Two wash speeds. Low speed for water and other solvents, high speed for IPA.
- Wash on or off the platform. Hang the build platform straight over the basket, or wash loose parts in the basket.
- Even post-curing. A 24 cm rotating turntable and 24 multi-directional 405 nm LEDs behind frosted diffusers cure parts evenly.
- Fast cures for standard resins. Alpha Resins fully cure in 5 minutes. Engineering resins such as Tough 1500 cure in about 30 minutes.
- Dry in place. The wash basket hooks onto the bucket rim so parts can drain and dry.
- Built-in safety interlocks. The cure LEDs switch off when the cover opens, and wash cycles won’t start without the bucket fitted.
- Removal reminders. The machine beeps every two minutes after a wash finishes, so parts don’t sit in solvent.
- Quiet operation. It runs at no more than 60 dB(A).
- Low evaporation. A latching bucket lid and the closed cover reduce solvent loss.
Good to know
The Form Studio Wash+Cure cures with light only and has no heater. Most standard resins cure fully without heat. However, some high-performance engineering resins, such as Rigid 10K, need extended curing at elevated temperature and require a Form Cure or Form Cure L. For engineering resins cured without heat, mechanical properties may not reach what a heated Form Cure delivers. This unit has not been designed or tested for biocompatible materials.
