STYX-12 (Nylon) Black PA12 1.75mm
STYX-12 has a very low water absorption compared to other nylons and can be printed at relatively low temperatures. This combination of properties has resulted in high-performance and industrial-grade nylon which can be printed on a wide-range of FFF/FDM 3D printers.

General printing guidelines *
Nozzle size: ≥ 0.15mm | Layer height: ≥ 0.1mm | Flow rate: ± 100 - 110% |
Print temp: ± 240 - 270° C | Print speed: Low / Medium | Retraction: Yes ± 5mm |
Heat bed: ± 80 - 120° C | Fan speed: 0-30% | Experience level: Intermediate / Expert |
*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers, but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers, hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
Why a cardboard spool and box?
-
FormFutura cardboard spools and boxes are manufactured in the Netherlands we are actively minimizing the total travel distance and which logistically helps us to reduce our carbon footprint even further!
-
Recycling cardboard spools and packaging can easily be arranged via existing paper recycling programs.
-
Cardboard is a natural desiccant (drying agent) and the cardboard spool will protect your filament even more against humidity.
-
Many engineering type of filaments require pre-dried at elevated temperatures and cardboard spools can be dried at much higher temperatures than plastic spools due the risk of deformation in plastic spools.
-
Cardboard allows us to create spools with a truly unique and sustainable character.
